Wood Stove Replacement Program

IMACA is now replacing low efficiency fireplaces and old woodstoves that do not meet federal EPA standards in homes in Inyo County, at low to no cost to the homeowner.
Funded by the Clean Air Projects Program, IMACA’s pilot Home Heating Emissions Reduction Program is currently open to residents in southern Owens Valley communities, including Lone Pine, Keeler, Independence, Cartago and Olancha. Qualifying participants can select their replacement from EPA-certified wood or pellet stoves, inserts, or propane or kerosene heaters. Most existing wood stoves and fireplace inserts manufactured before 1991 qualify.
Installations and other energy saving services, including home weatherization, are provided by trained IMACA staff.
Qualifying residents should contact IMACA immediately for more information and application details.
